Settled in 1630 and incorporated in 1636, Scituate is a coastal town in Plymouth County. At the time of its incorporation, the town included lands that are now the towns of Hanover, Marshfield, and Norwell. The town is home to the lighthouse, known as “Old Scituate Light”, on Cedar Point. During the War of 1812, the lighthouse keeper’s two daughters deterred a British naval raiding party by loudly playing their fife and drum. The British believed the noise to be coming from the town militia. The incident is known as “Lighthouse Army of Two”. We are proud to offer our services in the town of Scituate.
